Author

Andrea is the author of the book, “Newcomer to the Horse World | How to Do Right by Horses … and Not Be Taken for a Ride”.

Embarking on her equestrian journey at thirty amidst an all-consuming global consulting career, Andrea brought with her a passion for horses but found the horse world's customs and complexities challenging to navigate. Twenty-five years of hard-earned lessons and continuous growth as a horsewoman have inspired her to share her wisdom. She has crafted a book for adults who, like her, are newcomers to the equestrian life, as well as for parents of horse-mad children who find the equestrian realm daunting and often bewildering.

This book serves as a comprehensive insider's guide, offering a pathway to joy in the company of horses, advocating for the welfare of these magnificent creatures, and confidently finding one's place among both professionals and lifelong enthusiasts in this unique world.

Advisor

Andrea began advising newcomers and seasoned equestrians alike many years into her journey into the horse world.  Leveraging her 24 years as a management consultant and, recently, her 7 years as an attorney, she discovered that many people needed non-legal help with many of their affairs related to horses.  Her learnings from this work are included in her book, Newcomer to the Horse World.  For people too busy to apply everything they learn from the book, Andrea provides a range of advisory services in her non-legal business entity, Equine Consigliere

The range of services include supporting comprehensive horse and rider progress management, barn searches, defining and tracking horse care plans, clarifying and communicating rider objectives, horse care team communications, horse lease and purchase negotiations, horse business strategies and operational improvements, and customized educational programs.  Andrea has a host of partners available for enhanced support in the areas of horse business marketing, horse shopping independent advisors, sport psychologists, and horse care.

Attorney

Andrea founded Stable Legacies PLLC to help clients who consider their loved ones to be all the important two- and four-leggeds in their lives. She serves as a Legacy Architect (it’s not just about the $) and Estate Planning Attorney & Advocate (it’s not just about the documents) for predominantly equestrians who reside in Florida.

Adjunct Professor

Since 2021, in collaboration with the Dean Emerita at the University of Miami School of Law, Andrea teaches an innovative first-year elective titled, “The Future of Legal Practice.”  Leveraging her technology consulting background and experience running the ABA Commission on the Future of Legal Education, Andrea supports forward-looking and curious law students thinking about and wanting to be prepared for the future of legal practice.

Andrea graduated from the University Miami School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2017 after retiring from the global consulting world.

Accenture Alumna

Andrea retired from Accenture in 2014 as an executive managing director. She spent her 24 years with Accenture collaborating with amazing global clients and innovative teams … and loved darn near all of it.

Her work spanned consulting partnerships related to technology, process, organization, business process outsourcing, technology outsourcing, organization redesign, and company transformation.

Andrea was pulled away from Accenture by the desire to go to law school and start a new professional chapter.
